While Paul disclosed the price paid for the Dragon Ball issue, the cost of the One Piece copy was not revealed. The purchase has prompted mixed reactions online, with some fans questioning whether the acquisition reflects genuine interest or financial investment.
The debate follows Paul’s previous involvement in high-value collectibles, including the sale of a Pikachu Illustrator card earlier in 2026, after initially purchasing it in 2021. Observers have drawn comparisons between that transaction and his latest manga purchase.
Several social media users criticised the move, with fellow content creator IShowSpeed responding, “You don’t even know sh*t about One Piece.”
Other comments suggested concerns about the impact of high-profile purchases on collector markets.
