Manon Bannerman allegedly spotted in Coachella crowd fuelling KATSEYE exit speculation

Bannerman announced her hiatus from KATSEYE in February to focus on her ‘health and wellness’

A reported sighting of Manon Bannerman at the 2026 Coachella festival has prompted renewed speculation about her future with KATSEYE.

A blurred image circulating on social media appears to show Bannerman in the audience during Sabrina Carpenter’s performance, at the same time KATSEYE were appearing on the Sahara stage without her. The group delivered a five-member set featuring Daniela, Lara, Megan, Sophia and Yoonchae.

The photo quickly gained traction online, with some users suggesting it indicated Bannerman may have stepped away from the group. However, no official confirmation has been provided by HYBE x Geffen, and Bannerman has not publicly addressed the image.

Her absence follows a hiatus announced in February, when the label stated she would be taking a break to focus on her “health and wellness”. At the time, it was emphasised that she remained part of the group and in contact with management.

Since then, Bannerman has not appeared in recent promotional content, including the “Pinky Up” music video, and did not take part in the group’s Coachella debut. The reported sighting has therefore led to divided reactions among fans.

Some questioned whether attending the festival while missing a major group performance suggested a shift in priorities, while others argued that appearing in public during a break is not inconsistent with taking time away from work, particularly for personal reasons.

Online responses reflected this split. While some viewed the image as a sign she may be distancing herself from idol activities, others urged caution, noting that her hiatus remains the only confirmed development.

Despite the speculation, KATSEYE’s Coachella performance drew attention for its scale and collaborations, including a guest appearance by HUNTR/X for “Golden”. The group continues its scheduled activities, with no changes announced regarding Bannerman’s status.
