Has Manon left KATSEYE? Source claims singer will not return to group after hiatus

In February, KATSEYE announced that Bannerman would temporarily pause her activities to focus on her health

Manon Bannerman is not expected to return to Katseye following her recent hiatus from the group, according to a source.

As reported by Us Weekly, the development comes days after the 23-year-old singer removed references to the group from her social media profile, prompting speculation about her future. A source told the publication that Bannerman does not plan to rejoin the group after stepping away earlier this year.

In February, Katseye announced that Bannerman would temporarily pause her activities to focus on her health. “After open and thoughtful conversations together, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing,” the group said in a statement shared on Weverse.

The statement added, “We fully support this decision. KATSEYE remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us. The group will continue scheduled activities during this time, and we look forward to being together again when the time is right.”

Bannerman also addressed fans directly, offering reassurance about her condition. “Hi friends,” she wrote. “I want you to hear this from me, I’m healthy, I’m OK and I’m taking care of myself. Thank u for checking in! Sometimes things unfold in ways we don’t fully control, but I’m trusting the bigger picture.”

She later added, “Thank you so much for all the love and support you’ve been sending my way. I’m really grateful for the patience and kindness everyone has shown during this time.”

Katseye, formed through the 2023 reality series Dream Academy, has continued its activities without Bannerman. The group gained recognition with releases such as “Touch” and “Gabriela” and was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2026 Grammys.
