Smith Fifty Powers Sultans to Comfortable Chase
Multan Sultans secured a six wicket victory over Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 match at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday, successfully chasing 167 runs.

While chasing the target, Multan Sultans reached the total in 18th overs, losing four wickets and finishing with 15 deliveries remaining in a controlled batting performance overall.
Sultans Run Chase
Opening pair Sahibzada Farhan and Australian batting great Steve Smith provided a rapid start, adding 71 runs in five overs before Farhan was dismissed early in innings.
Pakistani opening batter scored 32 off 14 balls, while Smith continued attacking and completed a half century, anchoring the chase before being dismissed in 14th over.
Shan Masood contributed an unbeaten 46 runs, guiding Sultans home after Smith departure, while earlier Josh Philippe scored 18 runs before falling to Saud Shakeel delivery.
Gladiators Innings
Quetta Gladiators posted 166 for seven after being sent to bat, with captain Saud Shakeel leading scoring with 56 despite early wickets in innings.
Jacobs remained unbeaten on 49 runs, supporting partnerships after middle order losses, while Mohammad Nawaz claimed three wickets and Arafat Minhas took two important breakthroughs.
Early dismissals left Gladiators struggling, as Khawaja Nafay and Shamyl Hussain fell quickly, before partial recoveries through Hasan Nawaz and Shakeel steadied innings temporarily briefly.
Bowling Performance
Despite resistance, Gladiators could not accelerate sufficiently, finishing below a competitive total, while Sultans bowlers maintained control through key wickets in later overs of innings.
