Actor Noah Schnapp has confirmed he is in a relationship, sharing a personal update with fans as he marked one month of dating his boyfriend on social media.

The 21-year-old, widely recognised for his role as Will Byers in the Netflix series Stranger Things, posted a photo on his Instagram Stories on April 1. The image showed Schnapp with his arm around his partner, while his boyfriend embraced him with both arms around his shoulders.

The announcement follows Schnapp’s public coming out in January 2023, when he shared a TikTok video reflecting on his experience. In the post, he wrote, “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know.’”

The video featured Schnapp lip syncing to the phrase, “You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious. Quite frankly, it will never be that serious.” He added in the caption, “I guess I’m more similar to will than I thought,” referencing his on-screen character, whose sexuality was confirmed in the fourth season of the series..

The actor has largely kept his private life out of the public eye, making this recent update a notable moment for followers.
