Samsung Galaxy A27 Spotted on Geekbench Running a Surprising Processor

The Samsung Galaxy A27 has yet to make its official debut, but fresh signs suggest it is still in development. Although a November rumor hinted at a March launch alongside the Samsung Galaxy A37 and Samsung Galaxy A57, the device did not appear at the event.

Now, a prototype has surfaced on the Geekbench database, offering an early look at its performance. The handset recorded a single-core score of 777 and a multi-core score of 1,802. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM in this specific unit.

Samsung may offer additional RAM variants at launch. The phone will also run Android 16 out of the box. This represents a shift from the Samsung Galaxy A26, which used Exynos chips. The global model featured the Exynos 1380, while Latin America received the Exynos 1280.

This year, however, Samsung appears to be switching to a Qualcomm processor. The company has not shared a reason yet. More details about the Galaxy A27 are expected soon.
