LAHORE  –   Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr Ehsan Bhutta has said that the Urs of Hazrat Shah Hussain (RA) serves as a powerful reflection of the timeless message of love, unity and spiritual harmony, which continues to guide and inspire humanity in today’s world. He expressed these views while inaugurating the three-day 438th annual Urs of the great Sufi poet of the subcontinent Hazrat Shah Hussain (RA), popularly known as Madho Lal Hussain (RA), on Saturday through the traditional chadar poshi ceremony. Director General Religious Affairs Auqaf Hafiz Anees ur Rehman, Assistant Commissioner Shalimar Aamir Butt, Assistant Commissioner Wahga Hafiz Zeeshan, Director Projects Rafiq Noor Wattoo, Provincial Khateeb Mukhtar Ahmad Nadeem, Mufti Imran Hanfi, Mufti Masood ur Rehman, along with other officers of the Auqaf Department and a large number of devotees, attended the opening ceremony. Dr Ehsan Bhutta highlighted the spiritual legacy of Hazrat Shah Hussain (RA) and said that the teachings of Madho Lal Hussain (RA) promote love, tolerance and brotherhood among people. He further stated that Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz is giving special focus to revamping shrines across Punjab and providing state-of-the-art facilities to devotees visiting these sacred places. He reiterated that the Auqaf Department is fully committed to the upgradation and development of shrines across the province. He further briefed that comprehensive arrangements have been made to facilitate the devotees. The Auqaf Department has ensured proper cleanliness, illumination, provision of clean drinking water, medical facilities and foolproof security arrangements. Special reception camps and guidance desks have also been established to assist visitors. He stated that various spiritual activities, including Mehfil-e-Zikr, Naat and Qawwali, are being organized during the Urs, attracting a large number of devotees. He added that the district administration and law enforcement agencies are extending full cooperation to ensure that all events are conducted in a peaceful and organized manner. 

The administration has appealed to devotees to cooperate with the authorities, maintain discipline and fully benefit from the spiritual blessings of this sacred occasion.
