Kelly Osbourne addresses body-shaming comments following 2026 Brit Awards appearance

Osbourne says she is facing “the hardest time in my life” as she responds to body-shaming remarks

Kelly Osbourne has addressed ongoing body-shaming comments, stating she is facing one of the most difficult periods of her life as criticism of her appearance continues online.

“There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something,” Osbourne wrote via her Instagram Stories on Sunday, March 1. “Kicking me while I’m down, spreading my struggles as gossip and turning your back when I need support and love most. None of it proves strength.”

She continued, “It only revealed a profound absence of compassion and character. I’m currently going through the hardest time in my life”.

Hours earlier, Osbourne attended the 2026 Brit Awards alongside her mother, Sharon Osbourne, who accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of Ozzy Osbourne following his death in July 2025.

During the ceremony, Sharon said, “First of all, what a f***ing good evening it’s been,” before adding, “I know that Ozzy is looking down on us all right now.” She later reflected, “He may not be here, but he left us one amazing body of work that will never be forgotten by the country that made him.”

In February, Kelly responded to critics who claimed she appeared too thin, writing, “Literally can’t believe how disgusting some human beings truly are. No one deserves this sort of abuse! This too shall pass, but like, holy f***.”

Osbourne has previously spoken openly about her 2018 gastric sleeve surgery, explaining in 2020, “You have to do every single thing that they tell you to do when you do the surgery, or it doesn’t work.”

In December 2025, she said, “My life is completely flipped upside down. I don’t understand how people expect me to bounce back and look like everything is just fine in my life when it’s not. People’s faces change when you grow older.”
