Special gifts, cash grants and other facilities were provided to the Christian community ahead of Christmas, turning the occasion into an atmosphere of joy even before the festival day.

The district administration and Bhakkar police actively participated in the celebrations and took practical steps to ensure that members of the Christian community could celebrate their religious festival in a safe, respectful and cheerful environment.

Special ceremonies were organised separately at Police Lines Bhakkar and the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, which were attended by members of the Christian community, peace committee members, district and police officers, civil society representatives and students in large numbers.

At Police Lines, Christmas cake was cut jointly with members of the Christian community, while at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, cash prizes, gifts and Eidi were distributed among Christian families and children.

District Police Officer (DPO) Bhakkar Shahzad Rafiq Awan also distributed cash rewards among Christian officers and personnel serving in the police department and presented gifts to children to share in their happiness.
